The Challenge
Werbeagentur Regelmann has trusted THEAFOX as their long-term visualization partner for FAULHABER, one of the world's leading precision motor manufacturers. The brief is demanding by nature: deliver high-end renderings, technical visualizations, and animations that maintain a consistent visual language across product generations — while allowing the style to evolve naturally over time, so every new piece feels like it belongs.
The latest project: a detailed cross-section visualization of the new BXI motor, developed for advanced robotics applications.
Our Approach
The starting point was simplified CAD data — accurate enough for manufacturing, but not detailed enough for high-end visualization. To bridge that gap, we worked from photographs of a disassembled motor unit, physically reconstructing individual components in 3D that were either missing from the CAD files or lacked the surface detail needed for close-up rendering. Each part was then textured with accurate materials.
Simultaneously, a new animation clip was produced to extend an existing FAULHABER presentation video — one we had originally created. The challenge wasn't just quality, it was continuity: the new clip had to integrate seamlessly with the older footage in terms of pacing, lighting, visual style, and animation timings.
The Result
A technically precise cross-section visualization that reveals the BXI motor's internal architecture, and a new video clip that expands the existing presentation without breaking its visual coherence.
The result is a growing library of FAULHABER content that stays consistent across years and product generations.
